Brew it team

Adonay C.

When I first started thinking about a side hustle, my goal was simple: cut back on drinking and find a way to bring in some extra income. Instead of asking what do I want to do, I asked myself what do people really want when they come together? The answer was clear—good times, good company, and of course, beer.

That idea sparked what is now Brew It Beer Barrel. Drawing from my UCSB background—where kegs were practically mandatory for any party—I knew there was an opportunity to create something fun, reliable, and professional.

What started as just an idea to rent out beer barrels has grown into a full bartending and event service built to make hosting easier and more memorable.

Along the way, I decided to take a bartending class to sharpen my skills. I invited my cousins and a close friends to join me, and together we’ve built a small team that helps run events and keeps the energy flowing. It’s been a true family-and-friends effort, and I’m proud of how far we’ve come.

Today, I get to combine my entrepreneurial drive with the energy of celebration, helping people focus on enjoying the moment while I handle the drinks.
